What the hell has happened to eBay?

What the hell has happened to eBay?!

When Michael Jackson died, I became obsessed with his music and videos. Therefore, I went to eBay, of course, to find Michael Jackson music and videos. I bought MICHAEL JACKSON V2 HISTORY ON FILM DVD from sound city beaches (soundcitybeaches) on Jun 26th, 2009 and have still not received it or a refund as of August 2nd, 2009. After a month of waiting for the item and getting excuses from sound city beaches (soundcitybeaches), I opened a Pay Pal dispute. They have yet to reply to it or give me a refund. This was two weeks ago. So today I escalated it to a claim in Pay Pal. This item I paid $12.98 for, which a few days ago I went to Amazon.com and bought for $13.99 and it's in the mail as we speak. It was worth the extra $1.00.

I also got into watching videos on youTube and was so disappointed with the quality of Michael Jackson videos, I decided to make my own quality videos and post them on youTube for others to enjoy. I had to buy some software to edit the videos, so I did my research and decided I needed Corel VideoStudio Pro X2. I searched and I watched on ebay, and got the winning bid from user sma2 for $23.50. Yahoo! I was going to be able to upload videos soon on youTube!

Well, when I got the software, it looked suspiciously like a copy and it was the wrong version! Crap! So I emailed the seller and told him I hated to have to slam him on this, but he sold one version and sent another. But he never responded. So I gave him negative feedback and opened a Pay Pal dispute. Always pay with Pay Pal, that way you do have some options if things go wrong. We finally came to agreement and I sent the item back for a full refund.

Wanting to listen to the new Michael Jackson mp3s I bought, I ordered a 16GB 2.8" Touch Screen MP3 / MP4. Now normally I order these kinds of things from China, they have iPod copies that are cheap and work, so I just wanted something that would play my new mp3s. But I thought I'd be more American this time and ordered from a USA seller, clburrow. She said she checked out the 16GB and it wasn't working so she sent me a 32GB at no extra charge. Wow, I thought! How nice! But apparently she didn't check out the 32GB one either because the darn thing didn't work. No amount of touching on the touch screen would result in anything. I emailed her and she said that she had bought these in bulk from China, and didn't know that she would have to jump through hoops to get them to work right. So, she sent me instructions on how I could jump through hoops to get it to work. Well, I am not into jumping through hoops, so I asked if I could return for full refund. She said yes. I sent it back, and the post office lady suggested I get verification of return so I did and it's a good thing I did.

I never heard back from clburrow after a week, so I emailed her and asked if she had received it yet. No reply. So, once again, I went to good ole Pay Pal and entered a dispute. Then I got a refund almost immediately, but it's still pending. Not sure what that means, but I emailed her today and I am sure I won't hear back from her.

My latest acquisition was from a brand new ebayer called deal.maker81. I bought and paid for via Pay Pal ADOBE DREAMWEAVER CS4 web creator software for $130. I'd been looking on ebay for weeks to find Dreamweaver at a price I could afford. I only have so much money, so I had to stay within limits.
I tried bidding but was always over bid, so I decided to do a 'Just Buy Now' from deal.maker81. I emailed him first to see if I would receive a response. And yes, I did receive a response in a very timely manner. Well, this is good, I thought.
I had been emailing another seller who was selling Dreamweaver, brownie4brownie, and they never replied and so I never bid on their items. Thank God, because after the auction ended, I receive an email from eBay saying this ebayer was a scammer who used a security flaw in eBay's email service to gain access to my computer and steal my identity! W T F! I had to go to the credit bureaus and apply a 'fraud alert' on my own credit!

Anyhow, after buying the item from deal.maker81, I sent an email after 2 days to see what was up with the shipping. No response. I waited another day or two, emailed again. No response. I woke up at 2 am in the morning knowing that I had been duped again! So the next day I opened a Pay Pal dispute. He did reply to that, telling me I need to be patient and that I am not his first priority, he was rude and used the word 'duh', etc. But, no promise of sending the item and the item was not put in the mail. So, today I left him negative feedback. He now has a feedback number of -1.

So again I say, what the hell has happened to eBay? I found any article written months ago about how eBay's email system has a security flaw in it. So why hasn't this flaw been fixed?
